Thermal Spirit masters are designed to be used with all one-step thermal (infrared) copy machines. In seconds, you can image these masters from any original that is suitable for thermal imaging. These Spirit Masters are also used in Tattoo Shops.

Ink is transferred from the film to the master sheet through a heat process using a Reprofax unit. After choosing a design the pattern will be placed in the Reprofax unit between the film sheet and yellow backer sheet. The unit is then sent through a thermal processing, or "thermofax," machine. A plastic belt carries the unit through the machine. Inside the machine is an infrared light. When the lines on the "original" encounter the infrared light, the lines immediately absorb energy and become hot that the ink melts. As the unit passes between two rollers, the melted ink releases from the film and adheres to the master sheet. The whole process takes only two or three seconds. These Spirit Masters are also used in Tattoo Shops.
